fuckyeahhistorycrushes:

Just look at these two cool guys, Edmond and Jules de Goncourt, the hottest brothers ever. They were French writers of late 19th century. Not only were they so damn attractive gentlemen, but also incredibly talented writers. You could meet them hanging out with such magnificent figures as Gustave Flaubert or Emile Zola, not to mention Victor Hugo. This lovely portrait was drawn by their other friend, Paul Gavarni; thanks to him we can admire another example of history crushes in our 21st century hopefully lacking in exquisite gentlemen.
